Privacy notice
What happens to personal data in connection with this website — which, as it stands, is remarkably little.
This notice explains what happens to personal data in connection with the ParkWayz website at parkwayz.co.uk. It covers the website only. If you are a ParkWayz customer, the handling of data inside the ParkWayz application is governed by the agreement between us, not by this notice.
1. Who we are
The data controller is [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], a company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]), registered office [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. In this notice, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company; "ParkWayz" is our product.
For any question about this notice or about your personal data, email sales@parkwayz.co.uk.
2. What this website collects
Nothing. There is no form, no sign-up, no account, no comment box and no file upload anywhere on this site. It does not use cookies or any similar storage technology, it does not run analytics or advertising scripts, and it makes no requests to third-party servers — the fonts are served from our own domain rather than a font service, so no outside party learns that you visited.
See our cookie notice for detail on that point.
3. Server logs
Serving a web page requires our hosting provider, [HOSTING PROVIDER], to receive your device's IP address. Like most hosts, it records standard access logs — typically IP address, the page requested, a timestamp, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the service running and secure, for example to identify faults or block abuse.
- Purpose: operating and securing the website.
- Lawful basis: our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR in keeping the site available and protected against misuse.
- Retention: [RETENTION PERIOD], after which logs are deleted or aggregated by the provider.
We do not combine these logs with anything else, do not use them to build a profile of you, and do not attempt to identify individual visitors from them.
4. If you email us
The contact links on this site open your own email program. If you write to us, we receive whatever you send: your email address, your name and signature if included, and the content of your message — which for a demo request typically covers your organisation, your site, how many lanes and parking spaces you operate, and your timescale.
- Purpose: replying to you, arranging a demonstration, and preparing a quotation.
- Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR where the correspondence is a step towards entering a contract with you, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interests in responding to a business enquiry.
- Retention: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, if you become a customer, for the life of that relationship plus the period required for our legal and accounting obligations. Enquiries that do not proceed are deleted when they are no longer live.
We will not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry, and we do not sell or rent contact details to anyone.
5. Who we share data with
No one, other than the service providers we need in order to operate: our hosting provider ([HOSTING PROVIDER]) and our email provider. They act on our instructions as processors. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
6. Transfers outside the UK
Depending on the provider, hosting and email infrastructure may sit partly outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected either by UK adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner. [CONFIRM WITH YOUR HOSTING AND EMAIL PROVIDERS AND STATE THE POSITION HERE]
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have data erased, where there is no continuing reason for us to hold it;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests;
- receive data you gave us in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent.
Email sales@parkwayz.co.uk to exercise any of these. We will respond within one month. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority: ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113.
9. Changes to this notice
If the website changes in a way that affects personal data — a contact form, analytics, an embedded video or a chat widget would all count — we will update this notice and change the date at the top before that change goes live.
